This piece is for an art battle at thekitchen. I've spent quite good amount of time on this one; however, I felt like I'm ready to move on. Callin' this finished. This was a good battle.

We had them cornered. They were outnumbered, there was no way they could make it alive. Only a handful of them were still standing, and they were putting up a good fight. I thought it was the end, but it was not. They were falling, and they kept fighting. Then they started to sing, to sing ancient songs of war and death, songs of despair and end, sung when everything is lost, in forgotten languages. Songs of fallen kings and countries burnt to ash. They sang, and the rocks shivered. They kept falling, but it was not the end, and they kept singing. They sang, and the wind whistled. They kept falling, until one last remained. And the last one kept singing, until the sun rose above the horizon. And the battle ended.
